  1. Hi - not sure why Tibco employees are not responding here anymore, but here is what I know. Plugin was intentionally removed from the marketplace by jasper devs. (This was confirmed to me in private messages here). My best guess is that it's related to recent licensing policy change. JasperSoft Designer is not opensource anymore (which I guess is the reason why plugin is removed).. Although you can still download it as a binary file from here, plugin won't be available anytime soon..

  4. I can only agree with everything that Thomas Zimmer said. I've been using Jasper in multiple companies for almost a decade... And now it seems that Jasper's greatest advantage, being opensource, is gone.. I am incredibly curious what kind of analysis stands behind this decision.. just wow..
  5. btw of course I did find this, but not sure if it explains missing eclipse plugin... Thank you in advance. Jan
  6. Dear Jaspersoft staff, my name is Jan and I've been using Jasper Reports in my companies for almost a decade now. Since january, I am not able to get Jaspersoft plugin for eclipse. The issue is nicely described by someone else here: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/77897333/jasper-plugin-not-appear-in-eclipse-marketplace Did I miss some update or plugin removal? Was the plugin support stopped and therefore is not available anymore? I was trying to get some info by myself, but without any success.. Could you, please, provide some details? also, I've one more question - whats the End of life policy for Jasper Reports library? I've found https://www.jaspersoft.com/support/end-of-life-policies , but we're currently using Jasper Reports library 6.20.5, which I dont see mentioned anywhere... Thank you for all answers. Kind regards, Jan
  7. Update 1: When I remove half of the grouping, the PDF is generated without java heap error , but its incredible laggy. Any help anyone?
  8. Dear community, I am using JRSwapFileVirtualizer for large datasets from the Oracle database, reports are filled by SQL query. JasperFillManager.fillReport ends successfully, jasperPrint is created and JRSwapFileVirtualizer is used properly. In the report design, I have got a table dataset, with 8 grouping criteria. When It comes to generating report PDF, I have got a java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap spacejava.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space at com.lowagie.text.pdf.ByteBuffer.append_i(Unknown Source) at com.lowagie.text.pdf.ByteBuffer.append(Unknown Source) at com.lowagie.text.pdf.ByteBuffer.formatDouble(Unknown Source) at com.lowagie.text.pdf.ByteBuffer.append(Unknown Source) at com.lowagie.text.pdf.ByteBuffer.append(Unknown Source) at com.lowagie.text.pdf.PdfContentByte.setLineCap(Unknown Source) at net.sf.jasperreports.engine.export.JRPdfExporter.preparePen(JRPdfExporter.java:3147) at net.sf.jasperreports.engine.export.JRPdfExporter.exportBottomPen(JRPdfExporter.java:3038) at net.sf.jasperreports.engine.export.JRPdfExporter.exportBox(JRPdfExporter.java:2891) at net.sf.jasperreports.engine.export.JRPdfExporter.exportFrame(JRPdfExporter.java:3386) at net.sf.jasperreports.engine.export.JRPdfExporter.exportElements(JRPdfExporter.java:1108) at net.sf.jasperreports.engine.export.JRPdfExporter.exportFrame(JRPdfExporter.java:3379) at net.sf.jasperreports.engine.export.JRPdfExporter.exportElements(JRPdfExporter.java:1108) at net.sf.jasperreports.engine.export.JRPdfExporter.exportPage(JRPdfExporter.java:1063) at net.sf.jasperreports.engine.export.JRPdfExporter.exportReportToStream(JRPdfExporter.java:927) at net.sf.jasperreports.engine.export.JRPdfExporter.exportReport(JRPdfExporter.java:547)[/code]Points from my investigation: - XLS export works just fine - When I remove all the grouping + sum variables, PDF works fine and all 3900 pages are printed - When I increase JVM memory, the report is generated but pdf is still corrupted and only first page works without lags I have found few similar issues on the internet, but not the solution. Anyone can help me please? 9. I'll hand over resourceBundle & report locale into the menthod to build a final String. Please, let me know if you have a smoother solution. Thank you!
  10. Hi all, I am having the following problem. In the detail band I get a very specific field from the database which requires further processing. So I call a Java method inside a textField to process this requirement. content of the textfield: ReportUtils.testMethod($F{FIELD_FOR_PROCESSING}) Sadly, part of the returned String has to be a resource bundle reference. When I return "$R{id}" just to test the functionality, reference is not replaced. printed output: $R{id} wanted output: ID (taken from the resource bundle) I have few ideas for a workaround but none of them is "nice". Do you have any suggestions on how to solve it, please? Thank you in advance, Jan
