Jasper support + eclipse plugin issue

Dear Jaspersoft staff,
my name is Jan and I've been using Jasper Reports in my companies for almost a decade now.

Since january,  I am not able to get Jaspersoft plugin for eclipse. The issue is nicely described by someone else here:

Did I miss some update or plugin removal? Was the plugin support stopped and therefore is not available anymore? 
I was trying to get some info by myself, but without any success.. Could you, please, provide some details?

 

also, I've one more question - whats the End of life policy for Jasper Reports library?
I've found https://www.jaspersoft.com/support/end-of-life-policies , but we're currently using 
Jasper Reports library 6.20.5, which I dont see mentioned anywhere...

Hi - not sure why Tibco employees  are not responding here anymore, but here is what I know.

Plugin was intentionally removed from the marketplace by jasper devs. (This was confirmed to me in private messages here). 

My best guess is that it's related to recent licensing policy change. JasperSoft Designer is not opensource anymore (which I guess is the reason why plugin is removed).. 

Although you can still download it as a binary file from here, plugin won't be available anytime soon..
