1. The Jaspersoft Studio documentation has information on scatter charts in section 13.3: http://community.jaspersoft.com/documentation/jaspersoft-studio-user-guide If you work through the sample demonstrated there, you'll have jrxml you can adapt to your query. Also, for reference, the Highcharts API documentation for scatter charts is here: http://api.highcharts.com/highcharts#plotOptions.scatter Regards, Ilona
2. Jaspersoft Studio uses Highcharts for HTML5 charting. To explode a pie chart, you need to edit some code. If you look at http://www.highcharts.com/demo/pie-basic you can select the "View Options" and the "Edit in jsFiddle" links to see what can be done. For reference, the Highcharts API documentation can be found here: http://api.highcharts.com/highcharts Regards, Ilona
3. Donut charts will be available in 5.6 when that is released. Regards, Ilona
4. The restrictions on backslashes in JasperReports Server was removed in v. 3.5. It's possible this page might help you: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/18033288/username-and-password-in-hibernate-configurationfile Regards, Ilona
5. If you are using Jaspersoft Studio 5.6 or greater and connecting to the same version of JasperReports Server, there is nothing to configure. Because Jaspersoft Studio now includes backward compatibility options for the library and server, if you are using Jaspersoft Studio 5.6 or greater and an older version of JasperReports Server, make the following change to the connection URL in the JasperReports Server Access Configuration window of the Server Profile wizard: From:http://localhost:8080/jasperserver-pro/services/repository To: http://localhost:8080/jasperserver-pro/
6. To get started, I suggest looking at the following documents: JasperReports Server Installation Guide JasperReports Server User Guide Please do come back if you have specific questions. Regards, Ilona
7. I'm not entirely certain what you're looking for. Are you wanting help creating some sort of Jaspersoft exam? If you would please give me more detail, I can point you towards what you need. Regards, Ilona
8. Hi, What is a student report? Could you please post your jrxml and maybe a screen shot? Thanks, Ilona
9. Hi, If I understand your question correctly, you want to use the domain as a virtual data source. You can do this by adding a new JRS server installation in the Repository Explorer view, under the Servers node. After that, add your new virtual data source. Right-click an existing folder to see the context menu, then choose New > Data Sources > Virtual Data Source. Regards, Ilona
10. Are you sure that the band in which you placed the subreport is large enough? If it's too small, you won't see the subreport when you run it. Regards, Ilona
11. You can add a key to each of the column header report elements. (In this case, key="col_header" in the reportElement tag.) <jr:columnHeader style="table_CH" height="50" rowSpan="1"> <staticText> <reportElement uuid="0c6dfd58-9df2-4e00-b79e-43a457c7b42e" key="col_header" x="0" y="0" width="90" height="50"/> <textElement textAlignment="Center" verticalAlignment="Middle"> </textElement> <text>ColumnName</text> </staticText> </jr:columnHeader> Once you've done that, exclude the key when exporting to csv by adding this property to the report properties list: <property name="net.sf.jasperreports.export.csv.exclude.key.col_header"/> This removes column headers from your csv export. There are, however, two downsides to this approach: It removes all the column Headers. (net.sf.jasperreports.export.csv.exclude.key.keep.first.col_header does not work).Adding a key to each column Header is fiddly and time-consuming.
12. Themes can be associated globally with all charts by using the following configuration property in the jasperreports.properties file: net.sf.jasperreports.chart.theme=theme_name This configuration property can be used at report level in order to override the chart theme used in the current report: <property name="net.sf.jasperreports.chart.theme" value="theme_name"/> Changing the chart theme is also possible at chart element level using the attribute: <chart theme="theme_name">...</chart>
13. Telephone contact information for Sales is: International: +1.415.348.2380 US Toll-Free: +1.888.399.2199 Also you can use the form available here: https://www.jaspersoft.com/contact-us I let Sales in Europe know you're trying to reach them, and sent them the llink to your question.
14. Hi Marco! You solved it. I thought I would have enough privileges on my own machine (Win 7), but apparently not. I ran JSS as Administrator, and changing the language worked just fine. Followup question - will there be languages other than Italian and English?
