  1. Hi! I am running single node Hadoop (2.4.0) cluster on CentOS. Also, installed Hive 0.13.1. Now I would like to connect JasperSoft Studio 5.6 to Hive database (either default or any other db). I am running Hive thrift server @ port 10000. I tried to create Data Adapters in JasperSoft to connect Hive using "Database JDBC connection" - > selecting Hadoop Hive driver (org.apache.hadoop.hive.jdbc.HiveDriver) but still giving error. It seems there is some version incompatibilty. Can anyone give me steps to rebuild jars with the versiosn I am using and which jar files I need to copy from my Hadoop implementation to JasperSoft Studio? Any help is appreciated. Thank You. Saurin
  2. I have unzipped jaspersoftstudio-5.5.0.final-linux-x86_64.tgz. What are the next steps to run report?
  3. Hi! I have build Hadoop (0.23.10) single node cluster on CentOS 64BIT as virtual machine using VMware Player. Also, have Hive, Scoop and JDK 6u45 as well 7u51. I am trying to run analytical reports using JasperSoft studio against HIVE database (POC). I have downlaoded jaspersoftstudio-5.5.0.final-linux-x86_64.tgz to install JasperSoft. Before I start I was looking for steps involved in installing and configuring JasperSoft. Also, wanted to confirm if anything else is required as pre-requisite? Any help is appreciated. Regards, Saurin
