ctech115 Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 Experiencing isolated cases of users from the countries of Switzerland and Panama receiving a "Report is empty" notice when try to access reports. The result is not able to be replicated on any other machines. The method of running the report is thorugh an iframe via post/get parameter methods. The users are able to access reports that are available via export only using the same method of passing parameters. In testing on specific machine, Windows 7, could replicate receiving an "The Report is Empty" message in browser, but when testing on other machines, the results correctly passed the parameters to give results.Could there be a translation issue with germany/spanish language based machines causing a parameter to be read incorrectly?
hozawa Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 Not sure but have you checked the web browser and version that users are using. Some web browser versions operated differently.
djohnson53 Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 Could this be a Timezone issue? It would have to be two different use cases, panama and switzerland - but if its language based, it would be two use cases too, Spanish and Swiss What? (French, German, SwissGerman, Italian??? - but not Spanish).Do you have other Spanish Language instances other than Panama? Are they working?
ctech115 Posted August 27, 2014 Author Posted August 27, 2014 We have confirmation that the issue cannot be repeated on other machines in the same countries. These are the only two known issues we have had reported. It just happened that one was in Panama (Spanish) and one in Switzerland (German). It is difficult to pin point the issue as it can only be repeated on said machines. We have other reports that they are able to run however, but specifically it seems the iframe url methods are the ones that send "The report is empty" results while a report that is acessed as export only returns correct values.
ctech115 Posted August 27, 2014 Author Posted August 27, 2014 We have tried on multiple browsers on the machine, tried to track if it was a specific case of proxy connection of some sort to no avail. Chrome, Firefox and IE returned same results.
