  1. Issue: Using version 5.6 and scheduling a report and selecting pdf and xls as output options. The output sent via the scheduler always results in blank results for the pdf while the xls has the correct data. When I run the scheduler again and this time only select pdf, the results sent via scheduler are correctly formatted and showing up in pdf. In more testing found that if I scheduled a report with PDF and CSV selected, both outputs came out with all results printed. So far, the PDF is only blank if I also select an excel output that is NOT paginated (the paginated options when selected with PDF worked with correct results). Output formats selected: Formats PDF output was blank PDF + xls yes PDF + xls yes PDF + xls paginated no PDF + xlsx paginated no PDF + all other non excel choices no
  2. This is solved from your earlier reply to my other question, this issue was also resolved. It was the property value of "" missing from report. Thank you hozawa for the tip.
  3. Yes, that was definitely it, thanks for the reminder on that property.
  4. Issues is that in scheduling a report (report is made up of two sub reports, html chart in first rows followed by table) and receiving in an email an attached file in xls and xlsx format, the html chart is missing and instead there is only the table part of the report. The chart is no longer visible. However, when running the report through the browser and choosing from the excel options there, the chart does appear in those exports. Question: is there a setting for the scheduler to be able to show html charts in the exports there vs the exports wtihin the jasper server? Are there parameters or settings that need to be in place? Or could it be the issue is the build of the report itself and the chart needs to be within the main report and not its own sub report?
  5. Issue with the pdf received in a scheduled report (report is made up of two subreports within one main jrxml) where the pdf is blank, as well as the docx format. Is there a setting for the export report scheduler that needs to be set for formatting pdf and docx for the scheduled reports? Or perhaps a parameter to be included in order to format it correctly for the scheduled report exports vs the regular UI export abilities?
  6. General inquiry into seeing if there are plans for the future to be able to use images as fields of data within the ad hoc tool.
  7. We have tried on multiple browsers on the machine, tried to track if it was a specific case of proxy connection of some sort to no avail. Chrome, Firefox and IE returned same results.
  8. We have confirmation that the issue cannot be repeated on other machines in the same countries. These are the only two known issues we have had reported. It just happened that one was in Panama (Spanish) and one in Switzerland (German). It is difficult to pin point the issue as it can only be repeated on said machines. We have other reports that they are able to run however, but specifically it seems the iframe url methods are the ones that send "The report is empty" results while a report that is acessed as export only returns correct values.
  9. Experiencing isolated cases of users from the countries of Switzerland and Panama receiving a "Report is empty" notice when try to access reports. The result is not able to be replicated on any other machines. The method of running the report is thorugh an iframe via post/get parameter methods. The users are able to access reports that are available via export only using the same method of passing parameters. In testing on specific machine, Windows 7, could replicate receiving an "The Report is Empty" message in browser, but when testing on other machines, the results correctly passed the parameters to give results. Could there be a translation issue with germany/spanish language based machines causing a parameter to be read incorrectly?
  10. I had the same reported problem and then used the work around of the admin under an organization rather than the root. It worked and threw no null pointer exceptions when doing it that way. In the error message there was some verbage about multi tenancy, is that part of the bug here where it is only allowing admin under organizations to avoid some sort of security maintenance? Why prohibit any user who is not under an organization from making a domain? Not sure if this was necessary for something or a bug.
  11. Issue: I have been getting reports of my users experiencing issue of getting the "The Report is Empty" result when trying to access jaspersoft reports that are displayed through an iframe with parameters (including username and pass) being passed from ap to jasperserver. Replicating bug: The only users reporting this are those with Windows 7 machines and issue is across all browsers. I have not been able to replicate, therefore I believe it is an issue with the browser settings/add ons/extensions of the machine/and or browser. Because I cannot replicate this issue, it is fairly isolated with only two reports, I have not been able to reall define what could be the issue. This same user is able to receive export only jasper server reports from our ap, but for the reports that have to display within the UI in an iframe, the result is always "the Report is empty". The same user can use a different machine and receive their correct results. Fix: I know this issue has nothing to do with the jasper server itself (proven since I cannot replicate on Mac machines or my own Windows 7 machine) but, are there recommended browser settings or known add ons or extensions that can cause a disruption in the way parameters are passed to the jasperserver? Perhaps something about the iframe or the set up of the sending of the parameters? The method is post with a listing of the parameters attached to be sent to the jasperserver.
  12. Found bug in IE version 8 where hovering over the Export options of report view export options does not make the list appear. The mouse cannot click on any of the options as the PDF, XLS, XLSX options do not render correctly. They do appear for a slight moment, but upon moving the curser down to choose an option, the list disappears. Only occurs in IE 8.
  13. I have a charts pro bar chart that is Jasper 5 that will not allow drill downs in an ipad view. The drill down only opens an empty tab.
