eeby
My boss told me to evaluate JasperReports. We need a way for non-technical end users to hook up to our Oracle 9i DB and create ad hoc reports using graphical tools. Our users have a low tolerance for technical detail, so it has to be easy to use. No config files. I get the idea that either iReport or JasperStudio is what I'm looking for, but which one? The website doesn't make clear what the difference is. Can someone shed light on this?
svenn
I'm not familiar with JasperStudio but I can tell you that iReports is not a good choose as a query tool for non technical users. Heck when I first started using it I was wondering if it was a good reporting tool for technical users. Plus iReports does not have adhoc capabilities. Giulio Toffoli
JasperStudio is essentially iReport.JasperStudio is the branded version of iReport shipped with JasperServer Pro. Giulio
