er.navneetverma
Can Jasper Server support Failover/Secondary Database connection in Jasper DataSource like TNS entry. Can we handle this in our properties file used by Jasper Installer?
hozawa
To my knowledge, JasperReports Server is just using vendor provided jdbc connections.I haven't tested this but Oracle jdbc driver supports specifying several addresses in address_list to support failover. The JDBC client must set the oracle.net.ns.SQLnetDef.TCP_CONNTIMEOUT_STR property. This property enables the JDBC client to quickly traverse an ADDRESS_LIST in the event of a failure. For example, if the client attempts to connect to a host that is unavailable, the connection attempt will be bounded to the time specified by the SQLnetDef.TCP_CONNTIMEOUT_STR property after which the client attempts to connect to the next host in the ADDRESS_LIST. The behavior continues for each host in the ADDRESS_LIST until a connection is made.[/code]https://docs.oracle.com/database/121/HABPT/config_fcf.htm#HABPT4967
Friendly User
You can use Oracle RAC for failover with JasperServer:https://community.jaspersoft.com/documentation/tibco-jasperreports-server-installation-guide/v71/working-jdbc-drivers-
