After I installed Jasper Server & Jasper Studio, how can I open Jasper Server sample Reports in Jasper Studio for editing?

Jasper Server Report Path and sample report file:

C:Jaspersoftjasperreports-server-5.6.1buildomaticinstall_resourcesexportjs-catalogresourcespublicSamplesReports14.PerformanceSummary_filestop5Customers.jrxml.data

Jasper studio needs .jrxml file but I have jrxml.data file in the sample path.

Did you include the sample reports as part of the JasperReports Server installation? If so, then Jaspersoft Studio has a Repository Explorer that enables you to connect to a JasperReports Server. You can then download reports from the server and edit them before saving them back to the server.

Read Chapter 5 in the Jaspersoft Studio Users Guide. There's no explicit section on editing but you just need to clic on the report jrxml file (not the report unit - open the report unit and most have main.jrxml file). Click on the "Save" icon and Jaspersoft Studio will ask you if you want to save it to the server - just click "Yes".
