How to add custom 2nd Level Menu bar with Tabs?

Anybody has any thoughts on this? -
I figured out how to add custom main menu items to Jasper Server 5.6 Portal pages. Now, I would like to add 2nd level menu bar with multiple tabs like the main menu. The menu tabs in the 2nd level menu bar should be dynamic i.e. items appear based on the selection on the main menu and user permission. How can I achieve this? example below

During evaluation we found that Jasper reports does not have in-page drill down (without refreshing the page). Can you confirm it? If so, how do we overcome it? We observed that partial post back or cached data in browser is being used for drill down without refresh of the web page for some of the competitive BI software and wondering if this is feasible with Jasper BI.

Out IT has concerns about implementing frequent java browser updates for Jasper BI portal. For internal users, it is a challenge for IT to implement at short notice. For external users, we cannot control the updates , so jasper soft BI dashboards/reports may break. Could you respond to these concerns?

After I installed Jasper Server & Jasper Studio, how can I open Jasper Server sample Reports in Jasper Studio for editing? Jasper Server Report Path and sample report file: C:Jaspersoftjasperreports-server-5.6.1buildomaticinstall_resourcesexportjs-catalogresourcespublicSamplesReports14.PerformanceSummary_filestop5Customers.jrxml.data Jasper studio needs .jrxml file but I have jrxml.data file in the sample path.
