Northwind xml database

Hello-

 

I'm trying to use the northwind xml database that comes with ireports 1.2.5. I can test the connection, but when trying to do a report query, it asks for a "SmartCard PIN"... If the password of you active JDBC connection is blank or null, please check the "save the password" in the JDBC connection dialog.

Thanks Giulio... that was the only database that I hadn't checked that box. I think the problem I'm having is actually connecting to the database. Although the "Test" completes sucessfully, "table not found" is displayed.

This perhaps because northwind xml does not really comes with iReport....

 

What database are you trying to use? Do you mean HSQL db with the sample Northwind?

 

I would suggest you to use the database server shipped with JasperReports for your tests.

Hi, Giulio.

 

I just received the Definitive Guide and am trying to access Northwind and do the steps in the Guide.

 

I followed the threads from some other forum users,

and downloaded the 'butler' code from SourceForge as suggested by someone.

 

See the northwind.script under my path C:Jasperbutler-0.6.1demonorthwindsql, but am not sure what to do at this point.

 

Can you help please?
