Filtering a simple jasper report from javascript

Jaspersoft report has the default filter options over some column and works as expected.

What we want to do is to apply a filter via javascript.

Filters are created in Jaspersoft rport and we want to send filter value as a input from Javascript.

So that accordingly reports result data should get refecct on the input filter value.

What is the way we can achieve this without using parameters?

Are you talking about filters over columns in a table? It's just a JavaScript doing that. Look at the code to find out how it works - I think it was using some library. Unfortunately, there's no documentation on it but it's not too difficult by looking at the code.
