Solution hozawa Posted August 6, 2015 Solution Share Posted August 6, 2015 I don't think iReport is supported on Ubuntu 15.04. As has been stated several times already, iReport development has stopped last year and is due to be retired at the end of this year. Jaspersoft strongly urges users to use Jaspersoft Studio instead. joel.carlson
You can use iReport Designer 5.6.0 with Ubuntu 15.04, I do. Extract the tar, then I created a .desktop launcher that points to iReport-5.6.0/bin/ireport I use openjdk7-jre and it works fine. I had to up the memory in iReport-5.6.0/etc/ireport.conf to make it run better but it works fine.
