Jaspersoft Installation . Can application database and Jaspersoft database be in the physical database server

Hi,

I am new to Jaspersoft.    We are first time installing Jaspersoft .   In order to install Jaspersoft we need a database to store Jaspersoft respository.   One idea is to create repository  (with different schema) in the same database server where the application datawarehouse also resides.   Is it OK to install Jaspersoft repository on the same database (in a different schema) where application database also resides. If not OK, can you please let me know possible issues would arise?
