  1. Hello We are using Jaspersoft 6.1_5.1.0.26. When I tried to reports after filling out input controls, I get the message "Unable to acquire lock after 90 seconds". I filled out multiple input controls and expected number rows are from the datbase between 300 to 500. So result data set is not huge. I am not sure what this error message means and keeps appearing intermittenly. Can you please help resolve this issue Thanks Ravi C
  2. Hi, I am new to Jaspersoft. Currently we use BusinessObjects XI reporting. We are moving to Jaspersoft 5.6.1 due to our application vendor selection of this tool to replace BO. Our current BO repository is in Oracle 11g in AIX machine. We are planning to buy new hardware machine to host Jasperserver respository database. I am new to sizing of hardware and database. I don't find anything related to sizing (number of cpus, core, diskspace and etc.) in the Jaspersoft documentation. Also our application vendor didn't provide. So I need some guidance. Below are my questions 1. Can we use AIX based Oracle 11g to host Jasperserver Repository database? 2. Recommended number of CPUs, cores, memory and storage space and any other configuration 3. I know BO repository is different from Jasperserver repository. BO uses filestorage along with RDBMS but I believe Jasperserver uses only RBDMS. So I assume that Jasperserver repository db would be big compared to BO. Is that true? 4. We have 2000 users and concurrent 200 users in BOXI. If we have same number of users in Jasperserver, how can we arrive the sizing? I am not sure whether I asked the questions in the correct way. But any help is appreciated Thanks Regards KC Ravi
  3. Hi, I am new to Jaspersoft. We are first time installing Jaspersoft . In order to install Jaspersoft we need a database to store Jaspersoft respository. One idea is to create repository (with different schema) in the same database server where the application datawarehouse also resides. Is it OK to install Jaspersoft repository on the same database (in a different schema) where application database also resides. If not OK, can you please let me know possible issues would arise? I appreciate your responses Regards Ravi
