dot matrix printers

hi,
Is it correct that JRViewer cannot print to dot matrix printers ?
Does printing directly via the JasperPrintManager class work then ?

I think you mean a character printer.
If you print what you see in a JRViewer, also you need a graphic printer, otherwise the best solution is export your report using the JRTextExporter and the send the text file to the printer directly.

Hi,
In our project distribution package we have a sample
showing how the text exporter works inside the
/demo/samples/text folder.
I hope this helps.
