pass variable from subreport to main no work

i create main and sub report in jasper

i want  to send a value field from sub report to main report so

  ,i am created variable on sub report to strore a value field 

created another value to recieve varaiable from subreport 

and in subreport component in master i am add return value from sub variable to master varaiable 

when drage an drop a vraiable master on report show null??

i think u can no pass variable from the subreport to master because master is generated first
u can no pass a parameter until its exist
and after the subreport is generated yea, theres no way itll tell its master a new param since the master is finished

Try changing the Evaluation Time of the Textfield used on the master form to "Band" for the variable.
