There are several users that work only in Excel and do not want to use ad-hocs. I would like to be able to provide these users ad-hoc-like functioality similar to what is achievable with Microsoft Olap cubes and excel jpivot functionality.
I have several domains that suport Jasper ad-hoc views that have the required metadata. Is it possible to use it and feed Excel that functionality? If not, is it possible in any way to connect Excel to Jasper while having Excel as the front end?

Do you mean something in the following video? Sure it possible but you'll need to customization.
