Domains were created with 7.1 or older and worked without issue in 7.1. Instalation is on a new 7.2 AWS Cloud Formation Template deployed machine. When trying to edit the domain i get: There is a problem with the data source: The data source connection failed.and i am suggested to select a different data source. The existing data source(connecrtion to Redshift) has the connection passed when testing and reports using it have no issue on the same server. If i go to select a data source, and select the existing one i am pointed to map the Curent and New data source schemas. There are several users that work only in Excel and do not want to use ad-hocs. I would like to be able to provide these users ad-hoc-like functioality similar to what is achievable with Microsoft Olap cubes and excel jpivot functionality. I have several domains that suport Jasper ad-hoc views that have the required metadata. Is it possible to use it and feed Excel that functionality? If not, is it possible in any way to connect Excel to Jasper while having Excel as the front end?

I would like to be able to to see which user opened which report(uri path preferably) in the standard jasperserver log. Can anyone help me with which option should be set in the logging setting to achive that? Please note that i don't want to enable monitoring as this degrades jasper perfomance. I have a barchart with several categories on x-axis. Lets Say A B C D I would like to highlight(different color for example) a user selectable(throgh input control) category. Define stable? Well...it might be... but it's certainly not thoroughly tested. There are however workarounds that can help. Also as you probably know by now this comunity is mostly self help, not product support as most issues are unanswered. For your issues i woould recommend the bug tracker. We are migrating from 6.3 to 6.4.2 and we observed the following issue: On all domain based views, new or existing the date fields ignore the format masks. In 6.3 we havd date fields formated in the domain designer as m/d/yy (ex: 12/7/17). On 6.4, even if the same formating is selected in the domain designer in the Ad-hoc views format is Mon d , yyyy (Dec 7,2017). The same issue was observed even on sample domains Formatting masks are ignored even if default ad-hoc masks are changed in /WEB-INF/bundles/adhoc_masks.properties Formatting mask appears in Domain XML exported from designer, but it is ignored. When selecting a field from a domain for filtering the distinct values are preorderd ascending. How can i change that? I would like them to either be descending or if possible to follow a custom sorting order based on another ranking field in the same table. I tried pre-filters in the Data Chooser but even there selecting the distinct values the order is ascending and can't be changed. How can i achieve this in a Domain?

ignore pagination transforms the report into a single page report. I do not want that. I want a multi page report to keep its multi page view, with footers, page cunts and everything. I only want the report to scroll from page to page instead of clicking on the top arrow

I have a report that span over several pages.(data is in a table component within said report in the summary band). In the jrxml i have excluded for XLSX export the column header from all pages except the first page. <property name="net.sf.jasperreports.export.xls.exclude.origin.keep.first.band.1" value="columnHeader"/> When i export from the interface by selecting Export as XLSX button, the export is as intended. Collumn header is only at the top of first page and all report is exported in one sheet as intended When i export from REST API by calling https://jasper_home_path/jasperserver-pro/rest_v2/reports/<report_path/Report_Name.xslx this specific formatting is ignored and i get all data in the same sheet, however the column headers that are supposed to be supressed from each page, appeat in the excel sheet.where the new page would start in the report. How can i fix this? Thanks

Sort of. Easy option: Export everything you want to edit in a single zip. Multi file replace/add what you want to change in all jrxmls from that archive. Any advanced file editor should be able to do that. Overwrite the contents of the archive and import. (Make sure you back up server contents before this). You can use the command line version of import/export if you have multiple complex paths and only want certain reports to be exported. Complex option: Jasper server stores everything in the repository in a postgre database(by default). It's not really documented as far as i know but its relational and pretty easy to understand. Figure out your query for uniquely identifying the reports you want to change and update the value with your new jrxml contents. This is basically what import export does behind the scenes. Again....backup first. If you are looking to edit within the server interface. There's no such thing

If you have samples installed(or have access rights to view the report) you should find it in Public>Sample>Reports

The problem is that the list is no longer populated. If you look at the 6.4 screenshot above, you will see that there is no down arrow next to AE. This is because i have clicked on the first falue in the list and expected to see a dropdown of the entire list. This does not happen.Only first value is listed What is more problematic is that this is not a general behaviour, there are filed sthat work as intended when used as a filter, but most of them don't. Selecting a filter like the one above to IS ONE OF does not solve the issue. The list is not populated and only the first value appears instead of the list. If further information helps, the database behid is Redshift. Server is running on am M4.Large AWS instance. The full size of the adhoc data set is around 8 mil records but issue is appearing even when filterig the data set through input contols to arouns 10.000 records or lesss. Is it possible that there is a timeout and the server just gives up on retrieving the list? Why are some fields imune to the timeout if this is the case? Are they preloaded in the chache? Were there significant changes to ad-hoc cahce management from 6.3 to 6.4 that could have affected this? How can i debug this issue or what do i need to do to be able to provide you with full information so you can investigate what is happening? Thanks,
