The new report designer tool is Jaspersoft Studio.With Jaspersoft Studio, you only need to select a font that support the character you need. As Hozawa said iReport deprecated but I also had same issue and I found one solution for this and it worked for me. Solution:First create a image (either png or jpg) for the INR symbol. Next Step is place the image in your report where you want to display by adjusting the size to match with next field you want to display either amount or text. Thanks & Naresh.
