Hi, I have designed one Domain and defined some derived tables. I was able to defined derived tables with some tables, for some tables I am able to define it but when I am using those Derived Tables inside ad hoc editor to generate ad-hoc report they end up giving error - An error occured while performing the previous request. I tried those tables with seperate domain as well as derived tables but same error but when I am taking thoese tables as direct tables they workfine. I am not sure why ad hoc editor behaves like that. I tried to search solution for the same but didnt get answer anywhere. many people raised same problem as jasper server bug as well, long time back but no solution yet.Not sure its a bug or some problem in design. Because everything works fine during design but giving error at run time, I am clueless why its happening. Please help if someone have answer for the same.

Resolved. It was due to wrong db credentials.

Hi, I have created 2 connection for same database. one is using JDBC connection inside server and another one is JNDI connection pointing to same connetion as JDBC. Aftr publishing report to server, it runs perfectly with JDBC connection but When I chage datasource of the report to JNDI Connetion pointing same DB It gives Error mentioned below. : When I test JNDI connection, it show successfull but unable to generate data for report. Hi, I have created an user with name reportuser which has limited permission to access limited resouce inside jasper server. But I want him to be able to design his own ad hoc report using specific set of domain which i exposed to this user. But when I am logged in using this user and tried to open ad hoc editor by selecting a domain and selecting specific set of tables in Data Chooser it give below error and unable to open AD HOC editor after this step. Error It displays : Error MessageThere was an error on the server. Try again or contact site administrators. (Error UID: 0fa183ca-a937-455e-9279-4288ed2ff413) It doesnt allow that user to open AD HOC editor after selecting tables from Data Chooser. Hi, I have integrated Open Flash Chart in Jasper Server Community Version 5.5.0. Before some time it was displying perfectly. Lately ,I found issues in displaying open flash chart in Adobe Flash Player 13 version. Now it's giving jason parser error in displying open flash chart. Recently,I switched Adobe Flash Player from version 11.0 to 13.0. Hi William Can you please explain it in detail. I tried changing the dashboard uri in jasperserver-servlet.xml file but in URI we cant use "&" character there, so right now I am running out of clue that how to do that. Please if you know the solution for the same , please guid me. Thanks Anand

I tried changing user home page uri like -- http://localhost:8080/jasperserver/flow.html?_flowId=homeFlow&hidden_isJasperAnalysis=false but it does not seems to be working. Are you saying same way or changing it on some other specific location.

Hi I am creating user based home page in jasper server version 5.5.0. I created home directory inside jsp/module directory and kept my home pages. In home.jsp I configred the role base redirection to perticular .jsp pages. To direct flow on home directory I defined one homeFlow.xml file inside flow directory. its working perfectly . Its directing to the perticular user based jsp page. But issue is that when that page shows all reports and other things properly but the menus items ( Home button, Library options and logout button) got disabled .Header menu options are not working. I am doing the same changes in jasper server 5.2.0 version and there everything is working perfectly. Logout is also working their properly. Can anyone guid me what I need to modify in new version of jasper server. Is there any new way to create user based login pages into new jasper server 5.5.1. Please help me regarding this. Hi Everyone I am facing one strange problem in jasper server. I have just installed jasper server 5.5.0 in and imported content from old server version 4.1.0. After importing everything in one system its working perfectly. but in another system in which I have Installed same version its giving issue. In report input parameter which is "Songle select query" type is not displaying list. its just displying one data (first row returned by query) along with the search box below it. I am wondering that why this is giving this eroor. same application is up and running properly in another sytem with same version but in another system its giving problem. Hi I wanted to know the full procedure that how we can integrate SugarCRM with Jasper. Currently I don't have any idea about this. I googled and found that there is seperate jaspersoft setup available to integrate SugarCRM. I am trying my luck with that. Meanwhile can anyone please give me brief discription that where to get that jaspersoft setup and what is the exact procedure to integrate both of them. Hi I want to group the report columns as shown in the attached image. Generally when we add group to the report , it adds group header which pring when group changes but I want to print like ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- name1 1 2 3 4 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- name 2 1 2 3 4 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- name 3 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- abc 8 8 8 8 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- abc2 9 9 9 9 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- here name1, name 2 and name3 are grouped column while abc and abc2 are columns coming under group. I hve attched one image along with this also which will give you clear picture of what i am looking for exactly. Please can anyone guid me that how can I group the report in this way. Hi Generally we group element on the Jasper Report and we get a Group Header and Group Footer. If we use grouped column in grouped header it display it once. But If I want to use grouped column in detail field it repeats the column. That can also be done unchecking "Print Repeted Value". But I want to float the column height to be floated to the last. Like attached in the image. The Grouped column value should be centralised in the middle vertically. I tried it with various options but unable to do it Can anyone give me the hint that how should I do that. Thanks Anand

Hi I'm importing some jasper reports which was priviously working properly on jasper server version 3.7.0 but when I'm imported those reports with datasource into jasper server version 5.1.0 , its data source is giving error "The data source resource ID contains invalid characters. You might have mistyped it" data source Resource ID is named like "abc-de-fgh". Is this a naming convension problem in jasper server 5.1.0? can't we use hyphen(-) in Resource ID in datasource field in jasper server 5.1.0? Can anyone help me regarding this issue. Should I've to create datasource once again for those reports in jasper server 5.1.0? Because the Resource ID field is Read Only so i Can't edit that. Thanks in advance. Regards Anand

Hi Ankur Thanks for you help but this was not my question exactly. This can be done at report level in properties which I'm aware of very well. My question is little bit tricky. It was to disappear whole column section from the report along with column header dynamically if that column does't not contains any value. I hope I'm able to make you clear what I want to know. Its like if one column does not have any value (In whole database) than it should not be included in report itself dynamically.

Hi I am struggling with a problem. Actaully I have to generate a report on a condition that if any column does not have value it should totally disappear from the report .I went through the table component where i can see the condition in property section "Column Print When" but I'm unable to figure out that what condition i should use there so that it evaluate whole column to make it disappear from the report if it does not contains any value. Hi, Generally we create datasource seperately in IReport designer or in Server to execurte report in Jasper. I Found that in jrxml file there is no code related to datasource . It means that simply publishing the report through iReport directly into server will not work untill we will define detasource explicitly in server for that perticular report as far as i know. I wanted to know that is there any way so that we can provide an static connection within the report itself so that publishing it directly into the server can generate the report without any other changes in server.
