  1. I'm just wondering if anyone has thought of a possible solution for this problem. If any clarification is needed, please ask. Thanks! :)
  2. I'm sorry, just to clarify: I have 2 other groups in addition to the dummy group. The other 2 groups are used for breaks in the detail. Both of these groups have a header and a footer. When it's time for the last footer to print, and it's within the bottom 280 pixels of the page (the minHeightToStartNewPage setting), a new page is started and the footer prints there. Sorry for any confusion. Paul
  3. I'm having a small issue with this workaround for a first page footer. Using your instructions and template, I am able to generate the first page footer with the background band and dummy group. I have the minHeightToStartNewPage on the dummy group set to 280 pixels. The problem is this... if the detail lines complete within the area of minHeightToStartNewPage (in this case, the bottom 280 pixels of the page) on pages > 1, then the group footer does not print correctly. A new page is started and the group footer prints there. I've tried to accomplish this using the summary band, with the same results. Is there any way to get the group footer/summary band to print within that area? Thanks for any help! Paul
  4. Hehe... oops! I was kind of wondering whether that was easily done or not. But you did give me the option, ya know. ;-) I wasn\'t sure offhand whether rotated text could stretch or not. But that\'s fine. I\'d be fine with upside-down text working the same way as rotated text. In my case, I wasn\'t working with any text that would stretch, so I completely forgot about even looking into that.
  5. Ahhh! Ok, I see what you\'re talking about now. I would imagine that the entire text should be considered as upside down before doing the split (the 2nd example you gave). That makes more sense to me, anyway.
  6. Hmm... I would say that it should print as it does now, just with the text flipped. So yes, it should stretch. About the order of rendering... I assume you\'re talking about stretching the text up instead of down? I don\'t think that\'s necessary. I think it would be fine if it stretched down the page as opposed to up, unless there\'s any reason not to that I\'m not thinking of. :-)
  7. I am also wondering about this. I have a report that requires me to write upside down text to a PDF. Is this possible with JasperReports? Thanks!
