Jasper Studio using Data Source Jasper Server Community Edition connector

hi folks

I designed and implement a small environment for our developers and project managers to centralized reports

Dev teams on site A (92.168.1.xx)

jasper report server community edition on site B (192.168.2.xx)

MySQL database hosted on site C (192.168.3.xx)

 jasper server from site B configured data source using mysql connector to access the database through VPN connection on site C, and its connected as well

till now everything going as expected

 

our dev teams download and installed jasper studio to start build, design report using the data source that already preconfigured on report server as I mentioned above but with any luck, they can get any data to their jasper studio clients

 

my question is how to use jasper studio to build sample report using the data source from jasper server side

Datasource in JasperReports Server and data adapters in Jaspersoft Studio is defined separately. You'll need to setup a data adapter separately in Jaspersoft Studio. This may require a VPN connection between siteA and siteC.

so what i understand now ..

 vpn connection from jasper studio site A to MySQL DB site C << This step for designe the report >>

we will move it to jasperserver , so on this step need vpn connection form jasperserver site B to MySQL DB site C
