How to add and subtract records of detail band

I am creating a report in which i am calculating subtotal, and other calculations of records which are in detail band please tell me how i can do it, I am calculating subtotal of first 4 records by adding them and I am calculating subtotal in summary band.

HOA   Senior Manager

33             64

55             32

4               22

7                5

25             24

10              9

I want to sum first 4 records, these records are in detail band.

Subtotal = 182+33+55+4+7

Create a new variable. In the properties for this variable, set "Calculation" to "Sum"

@hozawa but how I can identify the records in variable, there are 8 records in the detail bands and I want the sum of first 4 records
