Need Help on String to Date Conversion

Hi,

Could you please help me to convert text field $F{Date} to Date format.

Basically, I need jrxml sample source or step by step instructions to convert string into date.

I'm not able to modify my code using already existing answers and end up  always with error.

JasperReports just uses Java as a default language. Just google to find how to convert String to Date in Java and put the expression in Text Field's Expression. If you don't know Java, you'll probably be better off going through some tutorial.

As well if SQL you can convert from the query + you have the choice with Java current casting methodology or using the JasperReports built-in functions for Date & Time in the expression Editor.
