kkriplani
Hi,1) Try downloading from herehttp://community.jaspersoft.com/download2) Yes you do need a db like oracle or postgres to install jasperserver and test your report.Regards, KKriplani
hozawa
1. You can download JasperReports library from sourceforge. Note that you don't need separately download JasperReports library when using Jaspersoft Studio because it's already bundled.https://sourceforge.net/projects/jasperreports/files/jasperreports/JasperReports%206.2.1/ 2. No. You do not need any database when previewing reports in Jaspersoft Studio. There's a sample datasource that you can use or you can use csv file as a datasource to your report. kkriplani
Hi Hozawa,Regarding point 2;I am no expert in jasper, but I would like to know how can we install jasperserver without a db. Usually we use postgres to store the dummy data for foodmart and sugarcram to test the sample reports. Thanks,KKriplani
cactusbeef
Thanks, horzawa, I fingure out these 1) if you want to compile with ant you have to download jasperreports-6.0.0 the most new version did not including dis and lib folder2) if you use eclipe +jassperSoft Studio, you have to add both jasperPorts library and jasperpot library dependencies , same tutorials only suggest five or six library , it just not work out for me . KKriplani,I just add some testing data in java class.
