JasperReport Server installation problem

This message occurred while installing JasperReport Server 6.2.0:

 

Problem running post-install step. Installation may not complete correctly

Error running

/opt/jasperreports-server-cp-6.2.0/apache-ant/bin/ant

import-minimal-ce:

BUILD FAILED

/opt/jasperreports-server-cp-6.2.0/buildomatic/bin/import-export.xml:327:

The following error accurred while executing this line:

/opt/jasperreports-server-cp-6.2.0/buildomatic/bin/import-export.xml:203: Java returned: 1

 

Maybe someone had the same problem and can help me to install JasperReport Server.

My system: SLES 11 SP4

Problem during import - export usually indicates problem with the database. Which database are you using? Is it on the same machine?

I have installed the "bundle" with postgreSQL, and it´s on the same machine.

any news about this Problem? I already tried the few ways found on the internet to fix this:

Clearing /tmp

Setting a correct hostname in /etc/hosts

Nothing helped!

 

I'm trying to install current bundle-version of jasperserver, using the defaults (directory, installationtype) on an ubuntu 14LTS and installation gives me following in the end:

Please wait while Setup installs JasperReports Server CP 6.2.0 on your computer.

 ########################################

Hello!

I know that post one year old, but anyway I provide my solution.

During instalation (JRS6.3.0 OS RedHat6.9) I have got the same error wher running setup under non root user.

1. Created user jasper

useradd jasper

2. I have added user jasper into /etc/sudoers

## Administrative access for Jasper Server execution and support

jasper  ALL=(ALL)       ALL

 

3. Add user jasper to group root

usermod -aG root jasper

 

4. Before run instalation , I have removed dir /tmp/main

 

At the end of instalation, is running something like that:

/opt/jasperreports-server-cp-6.3.0/apache-ant/bin/ant import-minimal-ce

and try to write something into /tmp/main. But permissions on this map was Owner - rwx, Group - r--, Other - ---. as result Permission denied
