How to make the report engine adjust band height of column footer to fit the real space occupied by content?

I have couple of information that i have to show at the end of first page only in the report. So i have put that content in the  <columnFooter> of the page. And that Column footer content should be visible only on the first page of the report. For that, i have used printWhenExpression(PAGE_NUMBER = 1) to make them only appear on the first page. But column footer occupying the space on all the pages of the report. it is not showing the content, but it is unnecessary occupying the space for all the pages of report.So please give some suggestion, how to adjust band height of <columnFooter>  to fit the real space occupied by content?

In my experience, column footer doesn't stretch its height. My suggestion would be adding a group band.

If it's only the first "page", why not use "page footer"?

But page footer occupying the space on all the pages of the report. It is not showing the content, but it is also unnecessary occupying the space for all all pages of report.
