JasperSoft Studio Eclipse plugin: Opening xml file throws exception: Can't find DataAdapter mapping

After having installed JasperSoft Studio from Eclipse Marketplace, opening any XML file leads to a popup:

    Exception, if you want to see more information look into details.

    Reason: Can't find DataAdapter mapping.

The details section is empty.

JasperSoft Studio apparently registers its editor for all XML files. Using "Open with" it's possible to open the Xml file with the Xml editor. This has to be done for every Xml file manually.

Eclipse version is: Spring Tool Suite
Version: 3.5.0.RELEASE

JasperSoft Studio feature is 5.5.1.final
