Web Service Setup and Running

Hi Every one,

I am very new to web services and Jasper Server, I need some step by step procedure to run my report can any one helps me.

What i have : A running Jasper Server, i can run reports here(general way).

Now i have another application where i need to call these run report and execuet the report and get report back to my application.

I had the same problem while using Jaspersoft ETL and i used the following solution:

I have a component that REstarts my job on succefull import to database.The job ID can be found when you schedule a job. 
I scheduld my job to start in 2033 with an interval of 100 weeks... It will be some time before it starts for real ;)

At the end of the import flow, place a tREST component.
In the url place the following information: 

"http://localhost:8080/jasperserver/rest_v2/jobs/restart/?j_username=jasperadmin&j_password=YOURPASSWORD"

In the httpbody the following.

"jobIdList

 jobId2167 /jobId

 /jobIdList"

 

The website seems to parse the xml, so place < and > around jobIdList and JobId

Dont forget the quotes! ("text")
