tkavanagh
The thing for 4.0.0 is that the display UI is now controlled by "themes". Themes are .CSS files and images that work together to generate the new UI. This now makes it very flexible for doing UI customizations (without having the issue of having to re-apply customizations when upgrading to a new version). However, the thing is that the css and images files are stored in the jasperserver repository database. So, in order to upgrade to a new version manually, you need to do three things:1) update your jasperserver.war file2) update your database (if there were db changes)3) update your theme files by doing an import operation - There are normally changes to "core" resources which require an import to pull in the new resources. - But now with themes, it's pretty obvious if you haven't loaded them (this is what is causing your bad display)Also, you can look in the Install Guide upgrade sections to see how to run the "auto-upgrade" script (js-upgrade-samedb.sh), or to see how to run the import command to load all the new resources.
