topkatz
Hello, anyone care to share an init script for jasperserver? Something to stick in /etc/rc.d/init.d
tkavanagh
JasperSever has dependencies on an app server and a database. Many linux distributions come with MySQL already included. Regardless, in the case of redhat/fedora, debian/ubuntu, there are rpm/app-get packages for mysql. So, they can be started with a "service mysqld start" I'm not sure if there is a service install for Tomcat (which is the most common app server running with JasperServer). But anyway, the point is that if these two packages are added to your /etc/rc.d/init.d then JasperServer will be up and running as a result. Or did you use the installer to install JasperServer? topkatz
I'm sorry, I should ahve been more specific. My system already has mysql installed, so I just have jasperservers version of tomcat. To get things started I go to /opt/jasperserver-ce-3.7.0 and issue the jasperserverctl.sh command.
