swood
We use JMeter to load test. Have gotten 400+ simultaneous users running reports etc. I don't know what your problem is from the limited information you gave. ShermanJaspersoft
mryzhikova
Hello! As Sherman wrote, we for sure user Jmeter as performance testing tool. What are the issues you are running into? On what kind of machine? Let me know, we will try to help you get it running with GOOD results! ;-) Thx!marina
vishal29bhp
Thanks Marina for replying, In my application there are some dashboard and corresponding reports. My test scenerio is to run the performance test for one dashboard(it has 5-6 subreports) visit for 10 users and two reports of the dashboard for the same. I record the HTTP request in thread group and run the test for 10 users . again record the HTTP request in other Thread group and run the test for 10 users but get unrealistic avg response time. Because our one dashboard take almost 9-10 seconds to display and jmeter shows 746 ms avg response time for 10 users How it could be possible? I am using Windows XP RAM 1GB Intel CPU 1.60 GHz Memory - 80 GB. Waiting for your reply. Regards Vishal
swood
The dashboard contains multiple frames, each with its own HTTP request. It looks like you are getting the main dashbaord page in JMeter, but not the frames, so the test results are off. ShermanJaspersoft

mryzhikova
Vishal - we have not done much load testing on dashbaords specifically. We did lots of load on adhoc (crosstabs, tables, etc). I would suggest, playing with your rampup time, and possible allocated memory on your machine? Let me know how it goes. thx!marina
vishal29bhp
Hi Sherman, How do we make sure Jmeter access the Frames? Vishal Consulting
kalevisiren
Hi Sherman,Can you describe, what kind of JasperServer configuration you have used to achieve 400+ simultaneous users? Especially interesting would be:- number of servers and their roles (what sw is running in each server)- server hardware specifications- configuration of JS and underlying software, e.g. which sw and versions (JS, web server, database, JMeter, etc)- infrastructure, networkBest regards,Kalevi
swood
I should put something on the wiki about this - too much for a forum thread. ShermanJaspersoft
