dgarratt
According to the table of contents there does not seem to be anything barcode related in the manual. I'm having a problem accessing all the functionality provided by Barcode4j when using the ide and need some guidance. Can anyone who has got the manual tell me if Barcode4j is covered and in particular the EAN128 standard ? Thanks Dave
phantastes
At a quick glance there doesn't seem to be any barcode coverage in the iReport Ultimate guide. There is a barcode tutorial in the JasperReports Ultimate Guide though. Not sure if that is what your looking for.
svenn
If you look at the post pinned at the top of the forum you will see that Jasper only support Barbecue. Even then I beleive it's only in older versions. They are looking at supporting a different package in a future release. One of the ones they are looking at is Barcode4j. If you are interested in Barcode4j support you should let them know.
dgarratt
It's odd that they don't support anything other than Barbecue as the latest iReports actually includes Barcode4j and allows you to select which library you want to use when designing a barcode. svenn
Ah well I see that they released 3.5.2 with Barcode4j support. Since this only came out a few weeks ago I'm guessing that they have not had a chance to update the documentation and not many people have had a chance to use it yet.Hopefully Giulio Toffoli will come by and answer your question.
