how to create a dynamic header?

I hope it can work like this:

in my table, there are 8 columns, and I can show any one or more columns on report according to requirement, and header name and content also should changed according to requirement.

 

For example, if I only display 5 colums, it should be:

 

Name mark1 mark2 mark3 total

aaa 100 88 77 265

 

or

Name mark1 makr3 mark4 total

aaa 100 77 66 243

 

If I want show 8 columns, it should be like:

Name mark1 mark2 mark3 mark4 mark5 mark6 total

aaa 100 88 77 66 55 44 430

if i assumed correctly, you should be using crosstabs to do the job. crosstabs provide the solution by dynamically append the number of columns available from your database's record count. try explore with the crosstabs.
