trametta_1
Is there any documentation on migrating from commercial to community versions? Is the file structure the same so an export from commercial will import into a community version?
fcerbell
Jaspersoft provides commercial support when you want to use a commercial edition. The community could provide help when you want to use a commercial edition. If you want to leave the commercial edition, you can only find help in the community. No editor, as far as I know, provide help to leave them.As long as your report dont use any of the commercial edition feature (fusion charts, fusion widgets, fusion maps, HTML5 high charts, domain queries, adhoc views, adhoc reports, dashboards, ...) the report sould be compatible with the community edition. So, exporting the repository and reimporting it in the community should do the job.
hozawa
Just to make sure, you'll need to migrate on the same version/revision. There's some difference between the versions. Are you thinking of doing a JasperReports Server export/import or are you thinking of doing a database export/import? There shouldn't be too much problems doing a export/import of resources on JasperReports Server but there may be some problem with a simple database export/import - you'll need to check. Also, there was some bug in command line export/import on 5.1. Make sure that everything is working correctly before cutting over.
