Why is results for JasperReports Server API v1 and v2 different

I was wondering why results from calling a GET in JasperReports Server API is returning different results between v1 api and v2 api?

I thought v1 api was going to be depreciated but there's still some v1 api that are not covered in v2. What the status? Will both api remain to co-exists? Which should I be using now?
