sascha.haeusler
Hello all, is it possible to use a sql alter table statement in a report?Have to change a View before receiving Input through another query in a subreport. Cheers
marianol
JasperServer has a security setting that will only allow select statements to be sent trough the JDBC connection. That can be configured or disabled (Not Recomended) in webapps/jasperserver/WEB-INF/classes/esapi/security-config.properties/validation.properties Still I do not think that sending an 'Alter table' in a report is a good practice, and must be avoided, this is a Reporting Tool :) Imaging somebody ading a DROP Table or TRUNCATE in your report :P. I will strongly encourage you to rethink the problem you are trying to solve.
sascha.haeusler
I'm the only one who can change the reports on the jasperserver. So there is no problem with it ;) You have to know that I use mysql-Views to simplify my queries. Also the Report depends then only on the view and not on many other tables which can change. My Solution: I wrote a Scriptlet with an alter-querie :) But thanks for your help!
