chicuslavic
To use Hive Connection, go to File->New->Other...->Jaspersoft Studio -> Data Adapter here you should select hive connection, click Next fill your settings for hive, finish to save Go to your report, and use your dataadapter from the list

rubywei
Thank you. I know the steps about how to create a data adapter. I want to know whether we need to modify the configuration files in the plugins. Because the settings for hive is just a url about hive like "jdbc:hive//......." how to access successfully?? mdahlman
You need to install and configure Hive before you can use Hive. You'll find documentation on the Apache or Cloudera sites (or whatever distribution you are using).
