Jaspersoft Studio now has supported HDFS as its data source through Hive connection.

But I don't know how to use Hive Connection?

I want to know which files  I need to configure and where to modify in these files.

Who can tell me in detail?

To use Hive Connection, go to File->New->Other...->Jaspersoft Studio -> Data Adapter here you should select hive connection, click Next fill your settings for hive, finish to save Go to your report, and use your dataadapter from the list

You need to install and configure Hive before you can use Hive. You'll find documentation on the Apache or Cloudera sites (or whatever distribution you are using).

Thank you. I know the steps about how to create a data adapter. I want to know whether we need to modify the configuration files in the plugins. Because the settings for hive is just a url about hive like "jdbc:hive//......." how to access successfully??

here you can find the code for hive plugin

http://code.jaspersoft.com/svn/repos/jaspersoftstudio/trunk/com.jasperso...

can you tell me more about your configuration? maybe we can add more fields to hive dataadapter
