jaspernooby
Hi All,since a new version of JasperReports Library is out today: Is there a concise step-by-step guide how to replace the JasperReports Library in JasperReports Server 4.7.0 and so upgrade it (the library) to version 4.8.0? I know this won't give me a server version 4.8.0 (which doesn't seem to exist as of today) but I would like to have the exact same reporting engine on the server that is also used in iReport Designer. TIA Jaspernooby
marianol
Short answer: No, you don't.Long Answer: Jasper always releases the Library and iReport before the server so hang tight and there will be a release of Jasper Server in the near feature.Hacker Answer: just replace the library .jars on your 4.7 instance and restart the server. (it may not work at all so keep backups :P )
jaspernooby
Thanks for your answer. I figured that out already (and it seems to work) but still I would like to know: What config files do I need to change in order to point to a (differently named) .jar file? The file jasperreports-4.7.0.jar surely must be referenced somewhere?!
