how can i pass a parameter from main report to Table component (ireport4.0.2)?

Hello All,

i am using ireport 4.0.2 , i have a main report that have a parameter called USER_ID, and in that report i want to create a Table  component. i want to use the same parameter when i create the table to fill it. but the table cannot see this parameter. so how can i pass it from the main report to the table.

note: there is no property on table or main report to set it.

If your table is using an additional dataset, declare the parameters in the dataset. Then pass in the params from the main report to the table element.

To do this right click table and select Edit Table Datasource. Declare parameters to be passed in under the Paramters tab.
