Hello All, i am using ireport 4.0.2 , i have a main report that have a parameter called USER_ID, and in that report i want to create a Table component. i want to use the same parameter when i create the table to fill it. but the table cannot see this parameter. so how can i pass it from the main report to the table. note: there is no property on table or main report to set it.

Hello All, i am new to iReport, i am trying a simple example but i face the following problems : note: i am using iReport-4.0.2, and i connect it to my database and i get data successfully. 1-) i had insert a Table, but don't know how t fill it; there is now option on table to fill it 2-) if i want to add back groundimage i add it from : View -> ReportDesigner -> ImportBackgroundImage, its added only on the report Designer page, but when i run it(press Preview) the background image not appear. i had try different previews; pdf, html, but also not appear. in previous versions of iReport; as iReport 3.0.0, you can add a background image in deiiferent way(view->bands->Background then from the tool bar we add the image ). 3-)finally, want to ask how can i pass a parameter from parent report to subreport. i add a subreport in the parent report, then for the properties of the subreport i set Parameters property to my parameter, but i don't now how to use(call) it in my subreport.
