Windows install in 2k a 2003

I have tried to install Jasperserver 1.2 in windows 2000 professional, windows 2k server and windows 2003 server, but every time, install wizard doesn't reach end.

 

After that I run the batch file to launch tomcat and mysql. The tomcat is up but when I type http://localhost/jasperserver tomcat reports page not found.

 

Is there a problem with the windows installer in 2k or 2003 ?

There is a problem with installation under Win 2k. But I believe that it should work under 2003. The problem is that to fully set up our sample data, we run our data import utility. It includes all of our core and 3rd party jars - this blows out the win 2k environment variable limit.

 

A couple ways to get around this would be to install onto win xp (which definitely works). If you don't have an xp machine handy you can do the install but *not* install the sample data (the default is "yes" ie install). Then it won't run the import.

 

It looks like the install you describe below was only partially completed.
