I have tried to install Jasperserver 1.2 in windows 2000 professional, windows 2k server and windows 2003 server, but every time, install wizard doesn't reach end. After that I run the batch file to launch tomcat and mysql. The tomcat is up but when I type http://localhost/jasperserver tomcat reports page not found. Is there a problem with the windows installer in 2k or 2003 ? Tks.

I got a similar problem. In my case it was within windows. When I installed jasperserver via wizard , I goto to configure Tomcat in a non default port ( 8088 instead of 8080 ). After that when I try to login from the iReports plugin, nothing happens. May be the reasons are... SOAP services via Axis is not enabled by default, so I got to configure something to properly start tomcat with SOAP enabled. The other reason , may be, is that the plugin uses port 8080 ALWAYS instead of 8088.

I think I found it. It's in %tomcat%/webapps/jasperserver/META-INF/context.xml

I am trying to install JS 1.2 in Mac OS X ( 10.3 ). I have sucessfully installed mysql and tomcat, also I have created mysql databases. Where is the place to edit in the webapps jasperserver path the xml or config file to tell tomcat to use mysql with user root and related password ? Tks in advance.

I would like to use jasperserver from python using SOAP. Does anybody has an example for this? Tks.
