sharing expirience on Jasperintelligence

How about sharing our expirience on Jasperanalysis with the community. I think about:

* sharing schema to have new ideas how to design the

analysis structure

* sharing expirience with designing complexe calculated

with functions like coalesempty, linregpoint,

variance, VisualTotals

* sharing expirience how to use mdx language in ireport/

Jasperreports

* suggestions for performance tuning

* and so on

Are there users that are interested in such a topic?

I can certainly contribute JasperSoft experiences with JasperAnalysis on large and small implementations.

One of the things that has come up lately is the need to get security/roles implemented deeply into JasperAnalysis. The issue here is that a data warehouse is shared by different users, who may be restricted in what information they can see, such as only particular cubes or slices through a cube - "you can only see sales in the western region".

There are roles that can be defined in the schema, but they are very limited. You could end up with a role per user, which does not scale.

I am thinking of implementing a capability to define a filtering class for a schema, that uses the user profile and rules in the class to determine what an individual user can see.
