MySQL setting in POM file

Why there is hard-coded mysql JDBC driver as dependencies in POM file? I found this in:

1) jasperserver-api-impl/engine

2) jasperserver-api-impl/metadata

3) jasperserver-unit-test

 

What actually this driver referring for? Its for metadata reposioty?

We should fix this. We used to have unit tests at the individual component level but moved that out, so the references in api-impl are no longer used.

 

The hardcoding in unit-tests is not used. You can see another reference to the parameterized driver just next to the mysql dependency.
