New Install Jaspersoft 8.1.1. getting Unable to connect

Hi Folks:

I've installed and I cannot connect to the new Jasperreports install.  The firewall on the server is turned off. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling.  netstat says nothing else is using port 8080.

I haven't make any modifications to the install. Any ideas?

Depending on the install, it can be http://localhost:8080/jasperserver-pro.

If that still doesn't work, I would check your catalina.out (assuming you are using Tomcat) file in the <tomcat-dir>/logs folder and the jasperserver.log file in your <tomcat-dir>/webapps/jasperserver-pro/logs folder.
