  1. Thank you SO MUCH Lucian and jphadtar for the help. It's working now. I would never have figured that out on my own. Have a great day!
  2. Hi jphadtar: I cleared out the log file and then attempted to run the report. Attached is the log file after the report had 'tried' to run for about a minute. Thank you for any help... Matthew
  3. Hi Folks We have about 50 reports in Jasperreports and those tested are all working fine except this one. We recently upgraded from 7.8 to 8.1.1 of reports. It worked fine before. It is set to prompt before loading: I have tried deleting and reuploading several times. The report is running fine in Studio (6.20.1). If anyone has any ideas I would appreciate it... Matthew
  4. Hi Folks: I've installed and I cannot connect to the new Jasperreports install. The firewall on the server is turned off. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling. netstat says nothing else is using port 8080. I haven't make any modifications to the install. Any ideas? Thanks, Matthew
  5. Hi Folks: I am trying to limit the number after the decimal place to 1 (so for example 15.2 ). When I select the options in Jaspersoft Studio it gives me 3 places. I've tried changing it to 0 and other options but it still will display 3 places after the decimal place. How do I fix this? Here is a Pic: The expression used in the top cell is: $V{PERCENT_ALIVE_MEASURE} Thank you in advance for any ideas... Matthew
  6. Thank you for trying to help Zellers. I deleted it to the Expression box and it doesn't give any errors... but it doesn't seem to do anything (the fields that have the 0's all still have 0's. (It just shows the $V in the pic so I moved my mouse over it so it would display the whole line I have in the expression box. Thank you for any help :)
  7. Zellers that was sooo close. It ran for a while so I thought it was going to work, but at the very end gave this error: java.lang.ClassCastException: class java.math.BigDecimal cannot be cast to class java.lang.Boolean (java.math.BigDecimal and java.lang.Boolean are in module java.base of loader 'bootstrap')
  8. Hi Luked: Thank you for the help. I'm probably putting the expression in the wrong place or I'm missing something. When I try to run it I get an error. In the pic below it shows where I stuck it. :)
  9. Hi Folks: I have a report that the user would like the 0's to display as a blank cell. I tried setting the cell to display null if blank, but that didn't work so I think I need to tell Jaspersoft to not display the 0. The Cell expression is: $V{ANIMALS_MEASURE} the type of the cell/data is: java.math.BigDecimal ust as an example, here is what the report looks like: Thank you for any help, Matthew
  10. Thank you Yama818 for the idea. I think that will work though I still have not got it working yet. I can get the table to return an email that I set in the SQL. If I set a parameter though nothing is returned. (Set the parameter in the table like below: I set the same parameter (Just called "EMAIL") in the main report so it will as for it but doesn't pass it to the table. I'm probably doing something stupid. Once I upload it to the server I want to have a pick list so they can choose the email. Thank you for any advice or help :)
  11. Hi Folks: I have a report for new orders. There are several folks that order items. I need allow the person to select their email address from a list and have it inserted into the report in the email section (see pic please). I already have a parameter on the report to limit it to just one order number. The email address is not part of the query that fills out the report. So my question is: Should I do a subreport or variable that would allow the user to select the email address (which is then inserted into the report)? Any ideas would be appreciated, Thank you, Matthew
  12. Hi Folks: I am working on a Crosstab report. I need to be able to have the columns different colors. Right now if I apply a color to the column cell, it just colors a small area and makes the rest the default. I'd greatly appreciate any help in being able to extend color. Here is what it looks like in Jaspersoft Studio: This is the way they want the colors (extending the whole column): Thanks in advance for any help folks :) Matthew
  13. Hi Folks: I'm using the free version of Jaspersoft. My Boss had two requests for a change to an online report that I can't figure out. 1. He'd like the default size of the report to be something like 150% instead of 100%. 2. He'd like the parameter input box to be off to the side by default so that end users don't have to move it to view the report if they click "Apply". Thank you for any help, I appreciate it :) Matthew
  14. Hi Folks: I've been asked if it is possible to increase the default report size (percentage) when viewing a report on the Jaspersoft Server in HTML. For example, I have a link the user clicks on that signs them in and after entering a parameter displays the report. Be default it displays at 100%. They'd like it to display at 150% by default without the user having to manually change it each time. Is there a way to place the size increae into the url like the othe info? http://10.133.62.154:8080/jasperserver/flow.html?_flowId=viewReportFlow&reportUnit=/reports/Lambing_Weekly_Report&standAlone=true&ParentFolderUri=/reports&j_username=user&j_password=1234
