Table data repeating in the report when placed in Detail Band?

Hello. I only little data to display on the report but when am inserting teh table in detail band the report shows repeated data and the number of pages keep increasing when I run the report. How can get rid of teh repeated data?

By not putting the table in the data band. For example, place it in the title band.
Detail band is called on each row of the datasource, so you'll end up with tables for each row.

@hozawa: I tried putting the table in the Column header band but I am getting an error for column header overflow.What can be the best place to add a table to the report in Jasper soft studio? I tired adding to the Summary which works but Then Summary band is below PAge footer, which I need to use for my PAge number and other details.

Try putting it in the title band and not the column header.

Outline -> Right click report name -> Create Group -> Next -> Select "Add the Group Footer" only -> Finish
Now you got a Group Footer, put your table in it. The Page Footer will be placed beneath Group Footer.
