brandon.freeman
Hello,I'm looking to link from a webpage to a specific Jasper Report of mine, bypassing the filters in the process. Web elements will exist to identify the filter selections to properly build the URL but I haven't been able to find how to structure the URL in order to accomplish this. Everything I've been able to find so far has been linking to reports from within already within a Jasper Report. Could anyone point me in the direction of some documentation, etc. that could help me structure my URL appropriately? Thanks so much!
m.kamran
Hi brandon,If I understand your question correctly, calling a report URL (with params) from a web-page is similar to calling a report from another report poiting to a URL. From your web page, you can add your parameter to the URL and use it within your jasper report, i.e.Target URL: [your_jasper_server]/[report]?param1=testIn your jasper report, please have a parameter created named param1 (to match the parameter on URL) and it should be able to pick the given value 'test' which will act as a filter value. Please make sure you uncheck "Is For Prompting" from your parameter settings in Jasper for obvious reasons.Hope this helps.Thanks.
